Had a very nice little over 8 miles hike last Sunday near Barkhamsted. They say it's one of the top ten in CT. It had it's steep ups and downs and it kept the heart pumping.
Here are some nice rides I've taken. Here are my thought on life in general in this day and age from an old school biker who quit partying years ago and still amazed he lived through it all. Here come my thoughts and please feel free to comment back. Jimmy Bonz

Roaring Brook Falls
Roaring Brook Falls in Cheshire CT is a nice hike. Quite steep in places so you need to be in decent shape and ready to walk. It's accessible from 2 different trails. One is about a mile and half hike in and the other 3-4 miles. You can Google it for the start locations of the trails.

Saving a being and yourself
For those of you who have never rescued an animal or those of you who have. Here are some pictures of a friend of mine as she meets her new best friend as she gets of a truck that brought her from a high kill shelter in AL to a new great life in CT. She's a 4-5 year old overbred basset lab mix scheduled to be PTS until a rescue stepped in and she found her furever mom.
Barkhamstead/Beaver Book
Barkhamstead Reservoir in NW CT is a beautiful area and m/c ride.
Beaver Brook is one more fun place to visit. Rafting, fishing, picnics all in the area Pleasant Valley CT and Hartland.
Well worth the trip. Oh and Pleasant Valley has a working drive in theater.
